When it comes to food, Richmonders tend to advocate “buy fresh, buy local.” One of the more artistic supporters is photographer Gordon Stillman. Since the spring of 2009 Stillman has immersed himself in the world of local and organic food, markets, gardens, families and restaurants to create the Virginia Sustainable Agriculture Documentary Project, his personal effort to show the people, places and hard work behind sustainable farming in Central Virginia. With a book of his photographs in limited print, Stillman preps for the first gallery exhibit of his work with “Groundwork.” Following food from farm to dinner table, the installation is scheduled to open at Corporate & Museum Frame on Friday, June 3, at 7 p.m., remaining on display through the month. 643-6858.
