Griff’s Room at the Tobacco Company

Sunday, July 13. 7 p.m.

Griff’s Room bursts with youthful exuberance. The fresh-faced trio, formed in Williamsburg in 2011, has no time for angst. Members play as if they’ve recently burst out of the womb. There’s a romantic innocence to their 20-something brand of Americana, but they never veer into sophomoric melancholy. Tunes such as the impossible-to-resist “Corner Booth,” the Beatlesque “Could Be” and the stoic yearning of “Daylight Fades” convey their pop, front-porch country offerings with playful ease. Nothing about what they do sounds contrived or premeditated, and if the stars align just right, this band could be huge someday. Griff’s Room plays Sunday, July 13. Doors open at 7 p.m. Free. thetobaccocompany.com.
