God's Country

The three men who make up Brothers Forever aren't brothers. But it's easy to come to that conclusion after hearing Curtis Hagy, Gary Ballew and Perry Jones harmonize on their recent CD, "Side by Side." Hailing from Gate City, the group recalls the Southern gospel sides of the Oak Ridge Boys and the Gaither Vocal Band. This is country music the way you don't hear it on the radio, joined with lyrics of faith, hope and salvation. The trio performs at Westhampton Baptist Church, 6112 Three Chopt Road, May 18 at 11 a.m. Free. 282-4243.
