The haunting melodies behind indie-rock group Ghost Owls are something to take in and enjoy. The group consists of five musicians from different backgrounds who play a blend of rock, folk and jazz in songs that are uplifting with lighthearted sounds and yet also dark and thought provoking. The band has quickly developed a solid fan base, which may make it difficult to find a spot when Ghost Owls perform at the Camel on Friday, Sept. 2, at 9 p.m. $5. 353-4901.
