Get Your Rees On

The strips are difficult to reproduce here due to the intense use of the "muther" of all four-letter words. What's more scandalous though is that his characters say what we're all thinking, and the obvious is so funny it hurts. Or maybe it hurts so much we have to laugh. Thursday (Nov. 7) Rees will sign books, discuss his creation and involvement in Adopt-A-Minefield and show a short film he made in Afghanistan last spring, 7 p.m. at Chop Suey Books. 1317 W. Cary St. 497-4705. — wayne
