“Char It Please”: Former President George H.W. Bush visits Richmond.

Red in the middle, black on the outside: That's how George H. W. Bush likes his ribeye. “I'm from Texas,” he told his server at Lemaire.

The former president enjoyed steak and a vodka martini -- with olives and onions --Aÿ at Lemaire on Feb. 11 with son Jeb Bush, former Florida governor. Bush senior was in Richmond for the funeral of his good friend FitzGerald Bemiss, a former state legislator and green-space preservationist.
