One of most daunting jobs in life is to get onstage in front of a room full of people and make them laugh. Just the thought of it is enough to cause nightmares for most people — leaving a special few to attempt the feat. A group of brave souls will have a go at it Wednesday, June 25, when the Richmond Funny Bone holds Geeks Night of Comedy, an evening of thematic standup based on such nerdy obsessions as Star Wars, video games and comic books. Host Tim Loulies will corral funny-bone ticklers C.B. Wilkins, Charles Ellis, David Carter, Derek Williams, Dustin Noack, Ray Bullock and Sid Bridge, offering comedic takes on subjects in which every single man living in his parents’ basement is well-versed. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $12. funnybone.com/venues/richmond.
