There's always that one husky kid you knew growing up who managed to never get made fun of because he was the one already making the jokes, putting would-be bullies into laughing hysterics. Gabriel Iglesias had to have been one of those guys, because to an extent he still is. With his signature Hawaiian shirts, this self-deprecating stand-up comic uses all kinds of outrageous personal stories, sound effects and silly voices to tackle subjects as varied as Latino culture and cake. Iglesias is scheduled to perform at Richmond CenterStage on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. $32-$36.
