The first time was just too much fun, so they had to do it again. Patrons who soaked up the old-school Richmond bands that played the original, massively successful Bennyfit last September — a fundraiser for local Bon Secours hospice care — will get a chance to rock nostalgic again with two nights of music just before Christmas. Starting Friday, Dec. 18, at the Playing Field, the XXL Good Guys (former members of the Good Guys) bring their party music with special guests the Laughing Feet, Peter Bell and the Revinyls, and members of the Rage and Ten Ten. The next night, more old-school punk mayhem returns with White Cross returns, this time with new bassist and all-around great gal, Greta Brinkman (Moby, Debbie Harry) laying down the law. The second night also includes distilled rockers BEEX, the Octane Saints and the Jimmy Catlett Band plus special guests Bruce Olsen and the Offenders. With a portion of the proceedings once again going to the Bennyfit hospice charity both shows start at 8 p.m. $10. 7801 Broad St.
