For $45, This Man Will Probably Take Off His Shirt

Tank rolls into the Landmark Theater June 27, along with singers Bobby Valentino and Joe. It will be an evening marked by begging, pleading, moaning and screaming — and that's just the audience. While none of these three represents a unique element in what passes for R&B in 2007, they are very good at what they do. Tank, in addition to two obscenely successful records, has written and produced hits for other artists. New jack Bobby Valentino, formerly of Mista, is signed to Def Jam, and his latest release has sold 178,000 copies. Both of these young men could learn a lot from Joe, who's been around since 1993 and hasn't been changed by the game. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and the screaming never stops. Tickets are $40-$45.
