Float On

A sneak peek at the balloons of this year's Richmond Christmas Parade.

This will be the 25th year that Toni McKay, chief executive of Starbound Entertainment, has provided the balloons for Richmond's annual Christmas parade. "I have so many wonderful memories," McKay says — but one of them isn't the infamous 2010 Rudolph puncture, a deflation that made the YouTube rounds. Please don't talk about that, she says: "That was a nightmare for me." Instead, she gave Style Weekly a preview of the balloons that will appear at this year's big procession, scheduled to depart from the Science Museum of Virginia on Broad Street on Dec. 3 at 10 a.m.:

Garfield! Dressed up as Santa!

Fortune the Panda! "He brings good luck for everyone in the crowd."

Nicolas the Penguin!

The Holiday Bird! Looks like a toucan.

Evergreen the Holiday Tree!

Fred Flintstone!
