Ask people such as Allan Quatermain, Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake, and they'll tell you the search for treasure always leads to adventure. While perhaps not on the same level as religious relics or lost worlds, Richmond's Fink's Jewelers will offer its own kind of valued expedition Aug. 7 with its Diamond Dash scavenger hunt. Starting at 11 a.m. at the James Center Plaza, this real-life treasure hunt will have participants searching across downtown Richmond by foot or bike for a 1.5-carat, platinum-set ring valued at more than $15,000. With each guy-girl team receiving clues via text messages on cell phones, and answering questions that will lead to the next destination, the couple with the most points at the end of two hours wins the extravagant prize.
