Farewell to the Chief

Former Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood will be greatly missed. He was a humble man and had compassion for the people he was given the opportunity to serve. During my 22 years as advocate for survivors of homicide he was the second chief of police who showed such deep compassion. He believed in going to the people and being involved in the community. Mr. Norwood and his former police department were our greatest supporters at the Coalition Against Violence Annual Holiday Memorial for survivors of homicide during his four years here. He will be missed. I wish Mr. Norwood the best and for success in his new employment as chief of police.
