The Visual Arts Center of Richmond has helped generations of Richmonders get up close and personal with art. On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22, it celebrates 51 years of artistic showcasing, nurturing and enabling during the Craft and Design Show at the Science Museum of Virginia. The annual, family-friendly event features a show and sale of works by more than 60 local and national artists and crafters, demonstrations by VisArts teachers and artists and plenty of food, wine and craft beer to keep the creativity based festivities going. The Craft and Design Show takes place from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on both days. General admission tickets are $10. 353-0094 or visit visarts.org.
