The Cultural Arts Center of Glen Allen plays host to the Mexican celebration El Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1-5 p.m. The family-friendly event honoring friends and family no longer on this physical plane features performances by the Latin Ballet of Virginia and the Richmond Ballet’s Minds in Motion Team XXL. Adding to the ghoulish festivities will be an abundance of interactive art and craft engagements, musical interludes, sugary treats and creepy surprises. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best holiday grotesque. Admission and parking are free. Call 261-2787 or visit artsglenallen.com.
