EOTO at the Canal Club

So you have the String Cheese Incident, with its long, long jams, but apparently even that was too structured for the likes of String Cheese's percussionist and drummer, Jason Hann and Michael Travis. With their EOTO project, the goal is total improvisation, a psychedelic electronica experiment of swirling break beats and shifting tempos — all played live, recorded and remixed on stage. Which makes it that much harder to sing along to music that is already instrumental. EOTO plays the Canal Club on Monday, March 23, at 10 p.m. $15-$18. 643-2582. — Brandon Reynolds
