Drive-By Truckers and Lydia Loveless playing Brown’s Island on April 28

The first of many concerts that will be announced as part of the Live Loud series in 2023, the Drive-By Truckers with Lydia Loveless will perform on Friday, April 28 at Brown’s Island.

Broadberry Entertainment Group announced the rain or shine show today and tickets will go on sale this Friday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. You can find them here. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. on April 28.

According to a press release: “Beer and canned cocktails will be available for purchase and there will be food trucks on the island. Chairs are permitted. Coolers, outside food, and outside beverages are not allowed.”

The Athens, Ga.-based rock band, the Drive-By Truckers, consider Richmond something of a hometown away from home, having earned fans here early in their career. The band also used to regularly use the artwork of Richmonder Wes Freed, who died last September, for its albums and concert posters. Lydia Loveless is an alternative country singer-songwriter from Columbus, Ohio.
