"The whirl of the drill begins, but you're oblivious, as your mind fades into the world of soft, soothing music." Style was almost breathless when it reported a radical breakthrough in visits to the dentist: soothing sound systems channeling your choice of music. Richmond-based Sound Decisions was taking jazz, rock, classical, "and even Italian opera" Muzak beyond elevators and restaurants and plugging it into dentist chairs.
