Comedian Doug Benson loves movies and marijuana, and much of his stand-up act is based on both. Whether it’s through his film “Super High Me,” his “I Love Movies” podcast or his contributions to VH1’s “Best Week Ever,” Benson’s humor is rooted in stone-faced absurdity mixed with clever observations and a keen intelligence. Benson performs at the Hat Factory on Friday, July 29, at 6:30 p.m. $15-$20. 800-514-3849.
