Doctor Jazz

"I'm kind of in love with traditional jazz," Lester-El says about his band's set, which covers a broad spectrum of tastes and styles. "We feature the greats," says Lester-El, who's been performing at the Caribbean Chef for some time. He'll be there Saturday (Jan. 11). Sunday (Jan. 12) he's taking his band to The Hill Cafe from 7-10 p.m. It's the band's first time at the Cafe, and Lester-El says the set will not venture far from the tasteful favorites found on most juke boxes. "Hopefully people will find it refreshingly entertaining."
