DMV Copter Run

On Saturday afternoon, two helicopters bearing the United States of America insignia practiced landing in a parking lot at the corner of Leigh Street and DMV Drive. When asked why they were landing in this location, a police officer responded, "They are just Marines being Marines, out here practicing maneuvers." Probably had something to do with President Bush, who visited Richmond Nov. 19 to give an award to a Central Virginia Food Bank employee and deliver a Thanksgiving message at Berkeley Plantation in Charles City County.
