Folk-pop group Delta Rae emerged from the quiet backwoods of Durham, N.C., with four-part harmonies and rich, Southern soul. Described as Mumford and Sons meets Fleetwood Mac, Delta Rae mixes aspects of Americana and folk with some crossover pop flavor. After a relentless touring schedule opening for acts such as Hanson, Delta Rae quickly began headlining its own shows after releasing its debut album, “Carry the Fire,” in June. VH1 quickly named the band a you-oughta-know artist. Delta Rae performed at the National in October and loved Richmond so much that another appearance had to be booked. Delta Rae performs at the Modlin Center on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. $15. modlin.richmond.edu.
