Kudos to Zack Budryk for speaking truth on your Back Page. Yes, global warming is a reality known to science for more than 150 years. It is indeed troubling that it takes record heat to convince us to disengage our eyes from the Kardashians for 30 seconds to give our changing climate a glance. But it has been the human habit since the days of Galileo's house arrest to base our reaction to science on our fears and prejudices. Listen for the returning public silence if we get a week of weather in the 80-degree range.
