Re: “The History of Art Deco in Richmond

It's really surprising that your journalist wouldn't even mention Deco Ristorante (at 2901 Park Avenue, RVA 23221) as a part of this article. Not only did we restore our building back to the original architecture of the 1963 Art Deco gas station that it originally was, but this restoration also served to beautify a local neighborhood. We are located in Richmond's museum district not even 3 blocks from the VMFA (as your reporter mentioned this museum has one of the most extensive Art Deco collections behind the MET)--and our restaurant was actually named for this movement and inspired by our love for Miami's Art Deco buildings and our love for the VMFA's collection. This was a huge miss on the part of your reporter, I can't imagine that he did not know we were there.
