Darvis McLaughlin Vigil

Alicia Rasin, the founder of Citizens Against Crime, has organized and attended hundreds of vigils in Richmond in the past 20 years. Maj. Steve Drew of the Richmond Police Department, who collaborates with Raisin, looks on.
Rasin and Drew tack up a photograph of 22 year-old Darvis McLaughlin, who was shot to death in Gilpin Court.
Sabrina Jones, the mother of the victim's 5-year-old daughter, is comforted by a friend.
A young girl wipes away a tear from the face of McLaughlin's mother as family members gather around her.
Friend Fredricka Dandridge is among the mourners at the vigil.
Mourners gather around McLaughlin's picture on a utility pole to say one last goodbye.
