Songwriters Josh Epstein and Daniel Zott exhibit some serious love for their Detroit home, if not without a little bit of tongue-in-cheek humor. Between their affinity for dressing in stock-car racing gear during shows, titling their debut EP "Horse Power," and the fact that they perform under the awesome moniker Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., the clever two keep themselves humorously connected to Motor City. The joke takes an unexpected turn however, when it comes to the band's music, which is highlighted by a disarmingly breezy mix of Beach Boys pop, vocal harmonies and blippy electronic beats. On the road in support of its first proper full-length LP "It's a Corporate World," Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is scheduled to perform at the Camel with Generationals on Wednesday, May 18, at 8 p.m. $8-$10.
