Cuts So Good

The many complaints emanating from Chesterfield County about budget cuts beg the question: Why? This stronghold of Republican strength is living the Republican dream (“An Open Letter Re: Chesterfield's General Distress,” Street Talk, Feb. 17). Low taxes are reducing revenues, which force cuts in bloated government. County leaders should be proud of these accomplishments and complimenting their state-level colleagues for getting fundamental Republican priorities right — a flurry of gun rights bills, suing the Environmental Protection Agency and more budget cuts allowing county officials to reduce even further government bloating and waste.
