Earlier this year, Melbourne, Australia, outfit Cut Copy released what may end up being of one the best albums of the year with its third full-length effort, “Zonoscope.” Unleashed was a breezy mix of ’80s new wave, synth pop and crescendo-swelling, dance-floor beats that crosses the infectious pep of disco and European house music. Easily one of the most beloved musical acts on its home continent, Cut Copy has solidified its status in the States, and is regularly mentioned with LCD Soundsystem. Cut Copy performs at the National on Tuesday, July 5, at 7 p.m. $23-$28. 612-1900.
