My husband and I read your piece on our little strip (“The Body MacArthur,” Food & Drink,” March 18), and while I appreciate the write-up about the North Side, we were extremely dismayed that our prominent business was called “a yoga place.” We opened our business at the same time as all of the others; we renovated the Bellevue Post Office with a home equity loan. We are responsible for the beautification of the commercial strip; my husband is president of the Bellevue Merchants Association and has worked diligently for four-plus years with the City of Richmond for trees, new lights and parking configuration. We brainstorm with the other merchants to plan and organize festivals, parades, national night and other events. Most recently we sponsored our second charity fundraiser for the Medical Mission Fund of the Bon Secours School of Nursing and raised a whopping $4,000 in these difficult financial times! It would be nice if Style Weekly would cover all of the exciting businesses on the North Side and not just a select few. Helen Campbell Owner and Managing Director 4025 Yoga and Wellness
Richmond should take the time to look a little deeper when borrowing from other cities. Claims made by proponents of new ballparks usually are overstated.
