Previously known as Cotton Jones Basket Ride, Maryland-based singer and songwriter Michael Nau released numerous EPs that ventured into indie pop and psychedelic music with a lot of folk thrown in for good measure. After dropping the “Basket Ride” from the name, Cotton Jones released “Paranoid Cocoon” in 2009, followed by last year’s insanely popular “Tall Hours in the Glowstream.” With February’s release of “Sit Beside Your Vegetables” gaining momentum, Cotton Jones plays at the Camel on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. $8-$10.
