DJ Williams Projekt

If you’re looking to get out of the house on Christmas Eve, there are free musical options. At the Camel, it’s a funky holiday party with longtime Richmond favorites the DJ Williams Projekt and guests. Their distinctive brand of all things groove is right on time — no matter what time of year. Doors open at 9 p.m., and the booty-shaking commences soon thereafter. Also on the crowd-pleasing tip is Talking Heads cover band Fear of Music at Cary Street Café. Dealing with family can be difficult, but listening to this band is not; it channels the spirit of the great, art-school wonders with all their wit, charm and clarity intact. Doors open at 10 p.m.
