Cheap Date: The Cheap Man and the Sea

Croakers Spot

The Place: Croaker's Spot at the corner of Second and Leigh streets in Jackson Ward. There are a lot of seafood places that fry fish so that you don't taste anything but the batter. What's great about Croaker's Spot is that all the seafood retains its flavor. Everything is fresh and tastes great. The portions are gigantic, and everything comes with some of the best corn bread you'll ever eat. And just in case you suffer from the same allergy I do, don't worry: there aren't any cats. I checked. — Francis Decker
