I cannot question Eugene W. Hickok's arguments in favor of a charter school in Richmond (“The Lost Charter,” Back Page, Sept. 10), but in the Patrick Henry building? When I taught English as a second language there nearly 20 years ago, I felt it was unsafe and undesirable for educational purposes. It was with a feeling of relief that I heard it had been closed. Now I'm stunned that it might be put back into use. Talk about putting new wine into old bottles! Juanita B. White, Richmond
Richmond should take the time to look a little deeper when borrowing from other cities. Claims made by proponents of new ballparks usually are overstated.
