Re: “Food Review: Alero Mexican Restaurant Brings Familiar Options to the Table

As a native New Yorker becoming acclimated to a new town where everything is unfamiliar Alero is a breath of fresh air. Most of the places I have frequented and frankly loved have closed, let's keep in mind I have only lived here a year. That should say a lot. To piss away someones hard work and contributions to your community is downright ugly!!!

If you live 3 blocks from this location, where is your support for your local business? Are you being paid by a competing business to slam Alero? Your review is quite frankly all over the place. I am not sure if you are recommending the place or not since nothing positive was really highlighted. Salt is not a true seasoning had you prefered a little salt or if it would have made your experience there better. Here is a small suggestion....ask for some. You'd be surprise how us regular folks do it all the time :}. Giving me the "information to make an intelligent decision"has totally failed in this review. Alero has great food, great staff and the owner is always warm and welcoming.

Intelligent decisions should be strictly based on experience and researching something for yourself. Check out Alero at least once. I have no horse in this race. I am simply tired of watching great spots close for lack of support.
