Since winning “American Idol” in 2005, country artist Carrie Underwood has won six Grammy Awards, 16 Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards and 11 Academy of Country Music Awards. Her debut album, “Some Hearts,” went seven times platinum and led to sold-out concerts, legions of fans, additional successful albums and a spot among the great country icons. Her latest release, “Blown Away,” came out last year and already has been certified platinum. Underwood is the only solo country artist to land a No. 1 hit on Billboard Hot 100 Songs in the 2000s, and she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008. In the middle of her Blown Away Tour, Underwood will perform at the Richmond Coliseum on Thursday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. $43-$63. richmondcoliseum.net.
