While the costumed shenanigans of Halloween have been shunted to the wayside for yet another year, Gallery5 thinks there's at least one more good excuse to don a disguise. Paying tribute to the Renaissance's enjoyment of masked frivolity, Gallery5 presents Carnival Masquerade. An evening of dance and entertainment that stays true to the spirit of historic festivals, it's scheduled to feature performances by belly dancers, fire spinners and DJs. Festivities start at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to the Healing and Rebuilding Our Community organization. Guests must be 21 or older and have a mask for admission. $6-$9.
