Carbon Leaf and its energetic roots-rock music have always been loved in its hometown of Richmond. The band has regularly opened for national acts such as the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Guster and David Gray, yet keeps Richmond in its hearts and returns to the River City often — where fans welcome members back with open arms. Expect lots of entertaining rock music when Carbon Leaf performs at the National on Friday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. $15. 612-1900.
