Cantor Isn’t a “Smarty Pants”

The people voted Rep. Eric Cantor in office, not Back Page writer Peter Galuszka! Unfortunately, I totally disagree with his opinion of Cantor. This is still a country of freedom of speech and ideas. His article made my blood boil — Cantor couldn’t help that he was born into a wealthy family. He’s a down-to-earth young man, not a “smarty pants,” and to have his wife attacked for the position she holds was below the belt.

Has this writer of the article picked up communistic ideas while in Moscow? I also, like Boehner, support Cantor’s right to do what he thinks is best. He is showing his statesmanship! How low of the writer to even question and criticize Cantor’s wearing apparel (Gucci-wearing)! Don’t we still live in a free country, where we have a choice? Why would Congressman Tom Bliley worry that Eric might alienate independents? Isn’t that what our freedom stands for, freedom of choice? Again, I believe Cantor is looking out for “we the people.”

If anything Galuszka owes the Cantors an apology. This will never get published because I am just a taxpayer unknown, but I pay taxes. I stand with Rep. Eric Cantor. If anyone is playing charades, I would personally think President Barack Obama is threatening them.
