Broad Street will be closed to traffic and open to food lovers when the annual Broad Appétit features dishes from myriad restaurants up for tasting at small prices. Participants include Bistro Bobette, Blow Toad, Ettamae’s Café, Halligan Bar & Grill, India K’Raja, Kitchen Thyme, Kuba Kuba, M Bistro, Mama J’s, Mezzanine, Nile Ethiopian, Olio, Peter Chang’s China Café, Rowland Fine Dining, Sensi, Tarrants Café and a horde of others. There also will be plenty of Virginia wines and beers as well as music from numerous local bands. Broad Appétit takes place Sunday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 100 to 300 blocks of West Broad Street. $3 a plate. broadappetit.com.
