While they are no longer as bright and shiny as their name would suggest, the members of New York's Brand New have certainly benefited from a decade of experience, acquiring a successful niche over the years with their brand of schizophrenic rock, jumping the rails between catchy, dark melodies and throttling rage. Continuing to pack a punch of heavy angst is the band's fourth full-length, “Daisy,” which charted the band for the first time on the Billboard Top 20. On the road with Thrice, whose own studio effort “Beggars” saw release this year, Brand New performs the National on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m.. Tickets: $25-28.
