The series of unfortunate events that have involved the two rappers (Young Jeezy and Plies) set to perform at the Landmark Theater Thursday, March 13, show the painful process of young, rich men struggling with their past and their fame. Members of Plies' ("Shawty") entourage allegedly opened fire into a Florida audience after it was suggested they shorten their set. Jeezy ("I Luv It") was acquitted of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit after an alleged shootout in 2006. Last year, the Atlanta resident survived an accident with a taxicab that totaled his Lamborghini. But despite his street-tough image, Jeezy is involved with a charity called Toyz in the Hood and reportedly opened his home to hurricane disaster victims in 2006. The show starts at 7 p.m. $45.50. 646-4213.
