Fanous is bringing a friend and fellow free jazzer to Richmond; a cellist named Tomas Ulrich, whose solid foundation of classical training places him among the free-jazz pantheon of Joe Lovanos, Dave Douglases and Derek Baileys. Fanous and Ulrich have two sets planned, one of solo pieces and one of duets, Saturday (April 19) at Artspace, 8 p.m. Tickets are $9. — Wayne
