Artist Rick Delano works in marble, bronze and drawing, and integrates the sensuality and spirituality of nature with his new collection of works, “Bio Temples.” The exhibit features sculptures and drawings inspired by what Delano calls the body temple, like “Torsa,” pictured, in which spirit and matter coexist. Delano expresses this through anatomical forms, often combining geometric abstraction with organic figures and shapes. The show opens Thursday, Sept. 1, with an artist talk at 6 p.m. The studio’s First Fridays event Sept. 2 will feature a conversation with the artist at 5 p.m., followed by Soundstorm performing neo-soul music. The exhibition is on display in the main gallery of Visual Art Studio through Friday, Oct. 28. 644-1368.
