Bill Burr at the Funny Bone

Performing 300 shows annually, including gigs on the “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Late Night with Conan O'Brien,” comedian Bill Burr has worked some tough crowds, including a 10-minute rant in front of an incensed Philadelphia audience, provoked perhaps by being in Philadelphia, but he handled that pretty well, counting down the minutes as he counted down that city's more annoying qualities. Will the same thing happen during his four-day takeover of the Funny Bone here? With a coinciding DVD release of his Comedy Central special, “Why Do I Do This?” set to hit stores Sept.16, we'll have only a few days to prepare. Sept. 18-21. $17-$20. 521-8900.
