Second Place: Osaka Sushi and Steak
Third Place: Akida Japanese Restaurant
The vivid red building on Main Street signals the fun inside. It's been around for more than a decade, and voters respond not only to the Tater Tots and karaoke, but also Sticky Rice's stellar sushi. "We've been around for almost 14 years and not too many restaurants last that long," owner John Yamashita says. "We've always tried to make it fun, always presenting crazy events. We try to find ways to reward our customers. Along the way, we're just trying to have fun." One of those rewards could be the savings if you know when to go. Sushi is half off on Mondays and Fridays. The sleek Osaka offers an extensive list of maki, sushi and sashimi, not to mention a cool vibe in which to watch it made. The tiny little Akida, tucked onto Robinson Street near Broad, long has been a favorite for its generous lunch deal and array of options for vegetarians.
