Second Place: Buckhead's Restaurant and Chophouse
Third Place: The Wine Loft
It's tops because of the thoughtfully chosen offerings on the list — small, artisanal producers and lesser-known family wineries. Not only that, you'd be hard pressed to find a restaurant with better wine pricing in town. If owner Julia Battaglini is charging $38 for it, you can bet that everyone else's pricing starts at $45. And everything is available by the glass, a gift for grape lovers. Buckhead's lands Wine Spectator's award of excellence year after year, including 2013, hardly surprising given a wine list that runs to 700 choices. Coming in third is the Short Pump oenophile's dream, the sophisticated Wine Loft, with 85 wines by the glass and live jazz twice a week.
