Best Local Actor

Readers' Pick

First Place: Scott Wichmann

Second Place: Joe Inscoe

Third Place: Tie: Jason Marks and Mark Joy

After returning from a tour in Afghanistan with the Navy Reserve, Scott Wichmann sure knew how to make an appearance. Clad in camo pants and a Captain America T-shirt, Wichmann strode onstage to thunderous applause as Prince Fortinbras in Henley Street Theatre's "Bootleg Hamlet" in October of 2012. Wichmann perhaps is the only actor in the Richmond area who could serve the country one moment and then feasibly portray a grown man obsessed with a blanket in "The Producers." Joe Inscoe has appeared in half of the television shows and movies you can think of ("House of Cards," "The Wire," "Eastbound and Down," "Lincoln," etc.). And onstage he continues to astound audiences in local productions, such as last fall's "Death of a Salesman." Tied for third place are local favorites Jason Marks and Mark Joy. Marks co-starred with Wichmann in Virginia Rep's "The Producers" in the fall, and Joy continues to appear in commercials and movies.
