In the late '90s Bert Kreischer wasn't going anywhere, but he was having a hell of a time doing so. For more than six years Kreischer spent his days as an undergraduate at Florida State University, making himself into a cult figure with his raucous sense of humor and wild antics at one of the nation's renowned party schools. His campus fame became so legendary that eventually he became the subject of an in-depth feature in Rolling Stone magazine. With his profile skyrocketing as a result (his story becoming the inspiration for National Lampoon's “Van Wilder”), Kreischer inevitably found a successful postcollegiate career in stand-up comedy. Taking time off from his new Travel Channel show, “Bert the Conqueror,” Kreischer is scheduled to perform at the Funny Bone from Dec. 29 through Jan. 2. $15-$17. 521-8900.
