Beat downs Come Downtown

Is 23 the charm? The gentle folks behind Combat Sports Challenge, an event that includes kickboxing and mixed martial arts, might think so. After 22 events at The Showplace in the East End, organizers decided to move their next affair, Combat Sports Challenge 23, to Toad's Place Saturday, Feb. 23, at 6:30 p.m. The 23rd Sports Challenge, like so many before, involves bloodied heads due to that mixed martial arts and muay thai kickboxing, which means a lot of hittin' and kickin' and stuff. Tickets are $25. 648-TOAD.
