Hardywood Park Craft Brewery is one of the city’s favorite fermented fun factories. I have yet to hear anybody say a bad word about the local beer-makers. In a city built on vigorous debate, that’s an amazing accomplishment. Three new barrel aged beers (and a Bourbon DIPA) make their premiere Saturday, July 26 – Hardywood Singel aged for 18 months in Bowman’s Abraham Bourbon Barrels, Russian Imperial Stout aged for 18 months in Maker’s Mark Bourbon Barrels and Belgian Quad aged for 16 months in Cruzan Rum barrels. To welcome their arrival there’s food by Boka Tako Truck, Estes Barbecue and Carytown Burgers & Fries. A live rock ’n’ roll soundtrack will be provided by the Diamond Center, White Laces and the Welcome Hips. The family-friendly festivities begin at 2 p.m. Free. hardywood.com.
